Judy Karwacki is dynamic and knowledgeable sustainable tourism expert with over 30 years of travel and tourism experience ranging retail travel to wholesale tour operations and consulting. Judy has worked as a tourism development consultant with international development agencies, development banks, governments, associations, NGO’s and the private sector. She has worked in over 35 countries.

Since 2002, Judy is the President of Small Planet a small specialist tourism consulting and marketing firm. She is also Vice President of Jubilee Travel, a retail travel agency Judy co-founded in 1986. Prior to establishing an independent consulting firm Judy held senior consulting positions at KPMG Consulting and Deloitte.

Judy is passionate about authentic experiential travel. Her key interest is tourism that provides destinations and communities with sustainable long-term economic, cultural and social benefits while protecting their natural and cultural heritage. Judy specializes in emerging destinations, niche tourism and indigenous tourism.

Judy’s long experience in today’s fragmented and competitive global travel market has shown effective product development and marketing is needed to obtain the social, cultural, environmental, and economic benefits of tourism. She helps destinations, organizations, communities and enterprises take market-responsive approaches to sustainable tourism. Judy uses her extensive network of travel trade, media, social media and travel influencers to nurture the partnerships destinations and communities need to reach the international markets.
